Wow, what a good tournament to participate in. The 2009 Cherry Blossom was a very strong tournament for this time of year. We continue to drive to play the best softball teams we can in our transition year to the 14's and this outing did just that. This weekend you guys rose to the challenge by giving two very good programs with many/mostly older girls (Shamrocks 14U and Lake Shore Lightning Teal) solid runs in very competitive play. You guys definitely got the attention of those watching of your talents and capabilities. Your hard work is paying off and is recognized by others. Our Saturday opener with the Shamrocks, forced us to wake up early both physically and emotionally and you guys definitely did that. I am very proud of you for this! Your poise and focus on achieving the highest of achievement was superb. Despite the final scores, in each of our Saturday and Sunday matchups, these were very good games for us with solid defense, fielding, pitching, and catching. I as well as the other coaches are very pleased. We will definitely improve our hitting the faster pitching in coming weeks. Games like we were in this weekend only make us stronger for the future and let us know what we need to work on to peak in Jun and Jul as we've done in years past. These are the kind of games we want to be in. That's it for now, always remember DBA and "gooooooooo Baseliners", you guys are awesome!
