Baseliners finish in 3rd place at the USSSA Blue Gray Summer Shootout, losing in the semi-final against the eventual tournament champion Virginia Crushers Red. Congratulations Crushers! Onward to Chattanooga!

Baseliners take the 2009 PONY Firecracker Classic Championship! With great pitching, solid defense, and big time hitting, the Baseliners pounded their way through the tournament to earn a place in the final against the always tough Loudoun Storm. Congratulations to the Loudoun Storm on a great tournament and their 2nd place finish. Way to go Baseliners! Blue rocks!

After a disappointing first day at the NSA Virginia State Tournament, the Baseliners battled back on Sunday to reach the Finals of the consolation bracket against the Aftershock (Lynchburg). In the Championship Game, the Aftershock grabbed the lead in the 5th inning and held on to earn the 1st place finish. A big congratulations to the Aftershock on their championship. Good job by the Baseliners for competing and battling hard in each of their five games on Sunday.

Baseliners take the 2009 USSSA Virginia State Championship! Woohoo! The Baseliners made their way through the winners bracket into the championship game against the relentless Ashburn Shooting Stars Gold. After losing the first game to the Shooting Stars, the B-liners rallied to take the second game and the championship! Congrats to the Shooting Stars for their 2nd place finish.

Rain canceled the tournament portion of the BRYC Classic! The Baseliners were 2-0 in pool play before the heavy weather came. Oh well, we won our first coin flip championship. Pretty funny how they do that! Guess they have to do something!

Another good effort Baseliners! The Baseliners bow out of the Atlantic Coast Challenge in the semi-finals against the eventual champion Lake Shore Lightning. Sooooo close, again! Maybe we need more chocolate or something.

The 2008-2009 Sterling Baseliners 12U Girls Fastpitch Softball Team is a select travel team comprised of talented young ladies who strive for excellence on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. The players are truly united by their love of the game and their desire to improve their skills in the more competitive arena of tournament softball.

The Sterling, Virginia-based Baseliners Fastpitch Softball Association trains and encourages each participant to play at the highest level of competition by offering strong positive-focused leadership, good sportsmanship, and a supportive environment.
